Just another windy shot from the other day
I worked today-eeek I don't want to work-so why am I?? I should be sitting in a rocking chair sipping a mint julep and crocheting or knitting or quilting. I should maybe be reading a book or keeping up with my present bible study.
I should walk on the beach-I LOVE the beach and only live about 2 1/2 miles max to it!
First strawberries for me here in Florida YUMMY
I made them just like my daddy did. He would clean them, then slice them, then put sugar on them to bring out the flavor! We would eat till we got full then later would have strawberry shortcake. My grands like them like he made them and say Grannyjax-make the strawberries like you do they are sooooo good! thereby, memories and traditions are made. Cause I know that's how my granny made them too.
Yet another windy day shot, can ya see the flag sneaking through? or is it standing at attention in the wind?Had a weepy day today, but guess that's expected? and if it's not owell it was!

Sorry that you aren't enjoying working..I asked myself why I was working when I was able and the answer that came to mind first was money..but I did like it most of the time... That is the way we like strawberries too. Of course you can't get any this time of year. Not good ones anyway..hang in there...
I want some Straws. Please send me some, all cut and covered in sugar of course :)
I eat strawberries that way too. Now I'm craving some. But with snow on the ground, somehow it just wouldn't feel right to have them now (not that I could find strawberries in Scotland at this time of year!)
I'm sorry you're not wanting to work right now. Rocking chair, mint julep, crocheting/knitting/quilting sounds like a much nicer way to spend the day. So just do what you need to do...
WORK!! OMG You still remember what that is! Shame on you! Come on back to NJ if you want to work! HaHa....only kidding. A little work never hurt anyone. Besides, you would get stiff, bored, and very dull if you just sat in a rocking chair all day!

You captured the wind so well in those shots and the strawberries look delicious. I'm sorry you had a weepy day although I think sometimes it helps to get it out. This has to be such a hard time for you, and you are in my thoughts.

I officially am jealous of you and that amazing Florida weather!! (oh and those yummy looking strawberries!).
sorry you had a weepy day, even if it is to be expected. but i must say, i'm happy you got to have strawberries! a little sweetness in the day.
