WINTER

Things are only impossible until they're not.
Jean-Luc Picard, 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'

So as not to confuse y'all I am mourning the sun, sand, beach and WARMTH.

This was taken one summer with the kids enjoying the beach. Now tell me who would rather be 'enjoying' the snow & winter rather than this?

I don't ever remember being this cold for a long long time! Have I acclimated to Florida weather so quickly! I suppose so. Not to mention my allergies have given me fits here! I haven't even had to take allergy meds in Florida. I will be back to Florida soon and be missing the grand-kids, but not this refrigerator I am in.
OO and not to mention we were without electricity for a couple of hours today- glad her wood-burning stove works or else we'd have been icicles!
I also will be glad to get back to my bed and routine!
Hope the year 2010 is the best yet!

I live in central California and it's cold. No snow, but I'm cold. I can't wait for spring. I can so relate to wanting the sun and the warmth. I'll be glad when you are back home and warm. :)

Thank you for changing your blog background to blue. The red was making my eyes cross!

I like winter. The woodstove is great! Sleeping under 2 comforters is great! I love snow, when it doesn't make driving dangerous.

Wonderful summer shots. I like winter but it's not as cold where I am. That said the highs have only gotten into the 20s today with wind chill in the teens and it was in the teens last night. I actually bundled up and went for a walk in the bracing air. However, if it stayed like this all winter (which it won't in NC) I'd get tired of it, I'm sure. Glad you are having some family time and that you'll be back in warm FL afterwards.

Well, if I could be sitting at the beach and enjoying the ocean, I'd be there in a flash. Nothing better than warm sand and surf. As to winter, it's sure a cold one this year. Hang in there and try to stay warm by the wood stove.
