Reality??

this plant looks pretty much like it's name! a hint for this one. The last was a Jacaranda
Humankind cannot stand very much reality.
T. S. Eliot (1888 - 1965)

Humm Reality.
Some say that reality bites, however I agree totally with TS Eliot!
People just can't stand reality.
People have watched so much tv over the years and can't imagine real from fiction!
they don't believe the world is in crisis,
they don't believe there are devastating storms/hurricanes
they don't believe there are children going hungry
they don't believe there are people dieing from horrible diseases

they don't believe we are in the most important election of our nations most recent history
they don't go out to register to vote nor do they go out and vote if registered
Wake up my neighbors/friends/cobloggers
We are in some tough times and it takes all of us to get together and fight these things!
I will quietly get off this soap box now! Just had to speak up before we loose!

Wow, love the T.S. Elliot quote.
Both of these plants are unknown to me, the purple tree is quite beautiful...

Funny. At this very moment, there is a conversation happening within earshot about the election. The conversants are both taking a position contrary to my own, but I don't want to argue with them.

I downloaded photos today from my wife's camera. She took a picture of my 18-year-old registering to vote.

Amen, Mama!

We need a major CHANGE in this country ... let's hope people wake up this trip and ... well, I won't say anything else...just come to my blog if you want my opinion.
