O let me Ramble a Bit

This is me a few weeks ago, just profiling

Mothers day was a bit unusual one for me.
I went to a mothers day breakfast without a child.
I got phone calls from lots of folk, but not one from my grandchildren!
I went to a mothers grave and put flowers on it, but it wasn't my mom.
I had lunch with a NEW friend, but didn't have a homemade meal!
I received a rose but not from my child!

Don't get me wrong I had a really nice day, and eve
however my children & grandchildren weren't involved. Crazy huh.
Guess I really am in a new season of life!

I got an email from my son and youngest granddaughter (he'll be 40 this year too), and my oldest granddaughter sent me an email one day late. My hubby wished me happy mother's day and so did my sister. I didn't get any flowers though. No gifts at all for that matter. I didn't even go out to dinner. I think you did better.

Have a terrific day. :)

I'm glad you had a good day. I find each of these special days are different depending on the year. Great shot of you.

Glad you weren't alone on Mother's Day. Our one daughter had a cook-out, she invited her other three sisters, (our son lives in Fl so he wasn't here)and they all brought a covered dish. I didn't have to do anything except show up. LOL That was different. There were 12 of us. Son called and wished all of us women a Happy Mother's Day

Sometimes it's a good gift for a mom just to have a day off from being mom.

We had a lovely visit with my mom, and then a nice visit with R's mom, too. His folks are in town right now.

Daisy and Muttley didn't get me anything.

As long as you had a HAPPY mother's day, that is what is most important! Happy mother's day dear sweet Mommantor!

I felt terrible for not getting a card off to my mother in time, but I called her twice over the weekend. Mom likes my wife so much, she spent more time talking with her than with me. I'm so glad they get along that well!
