Memories

Have had a whirlwind week in the Northeast.
Birthdays, parties, reunions if you please.
Too much to eat & drink , but not enough sleep.
Did I say it's only been a week?

Saw some folk I hadn't seen in 45 years,
we laughed so much our eyes were full of tears.
but all in all they hadn't changed that much;
older, wiser, greyer, balder and such.
The twins are now nine
and will be spending some time
in Florida with me and auntie
and their new puppy Sadie

Can't wait till I hear the squeals,
from these two exuberant girls.
She's mine, no she's mine
let me hold her,no it's my time.

Saw the new Star Trek,
really liked the flick.
Great effects, and story line,
It leaves the door open for a future time!

Glad it all went well. I haven't laughed as you describe in years. I miss it.

I love the mammogram reminder, that is brilliant!

I heard that the new movie was well received by people who aren't even Trekkies. I'm itching to see it.
