More stuff

Faith and doubt both are needed, not as antagonists, but working side by side to take us around the unknown curve.
- Lillian Smith
So what have you been doing that you have been so busy with, you might ask!
Well, for almost 2 weeks I was in a real bad depression. So bad I didn't even want to go anywhere or do anything! Thankfully that has past and I am onto other things.
Of course we are still volunteering @ the clothes closet on Mondays.
I have also enrolled in a bible study on the book of Ruth. It is very time consuming to say the least. Study, study, study!
Our church also had a three day revival. I was at the church more than at home. However I truly enjoyed the speakers, music, and he was a real artist!
And I have been up late every night watching baseball! Ya know it's just something ya have to do!!! Baseball will only be on a few more weeks and the Phillie's are working it!
OO and I have been doing some fall cleaning. Closets etc. NO ONE do you hear me NO ONE is supposed to buy another outfit in this house for at least a year! We are only supposed to buy disposable stuff like groceries! see how long that stays in effect!
When I did one closet today I found 6 pump bottles of hand wash from 'Bed Bath & Beyond'. I actually have 3 large containers of dishwasher detergent! This is criminal I tell ya. Who needs 5 boxes of hair dye! and I am not even dying at present! I'm looking to see if it's too grey!

Go grey, be natural like Pie. I am thinking of doing the same. Spending too much money to end up with average looking hair.

I am glad you are not dying. I wish I could avoid dying as well. Taxes too.

I'm glad you are feeling better. I would love to have a little of your ambition. I have closets that need cleaning. Really, really need cleaning.

Thanks for stopping by my place Hope you have a beautiful week-end.

Sounds like you have a supply of soaps. As for dying the hair. I quite a long time ago. Seemed I could never get back in time to have it taken care of so it would go from a nice warm brown to a copper reddish look, not good, and I was getting perms every 3 months. I gave them both up. The last time, I told the one beautician to frost my hair, everyone thought it looked great, and as my own grew in, no one seemed to notice. Now that I am no longer working, and keep it pretty short, I don't care what color it is. As long as I don't have to mess with it. I'm not handy with the hair.

Oh, I LOVE the book of Ruth!!!! It is so hope-inspiring to see how God drew a gentile to himself, even before Christ. The Lord is mighty to save. One of the characteristics that is so amiable about this Ruth, is that she is a hero without superpowers (so to speak). Her big thing was a simple faith, and that is something that makes her feel more approachable than say a King David, Abraham or Elijah.

I am sorry about the depression, as a sufferer myself, I can empathize. Next time you feel blue, let me know, we can be blue together (I find when with someone else, I can't be very blue) and you can help me learn to be a good wife!

I like the quote. Glad you are feeling better. Sometimes I need to focus on small steps to get myself moving.

Sorry to hear that you have been battling depression.. It is understandable though and I get that way myself at times. I am happy that you are pulling yourself out of it. That takes a lot of strength and you are a strong person. Hang in there.. hugs.. Michelle

I've been gray for years and once about 10 years ago I decided to dye my hair. It was so horrible looking! Now I don't give a ding because I know I look old anyway. lol.

love the quote. i'm a big believer that faith and doubt are constant companions.

so sorry you were depressed. i know how that is, and it's not fun! but i'm glad to hear you're pulling out of it.

i don't think i've ever read the book of Ruth, actually, but i've always liked the story of Ruth and Naomi; sisters doin' it for themselves!
