Advent

begins on November 30 this year TIS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

The word advent, from Latin, means “the coming.” For centuries, Advent has been a time of spiritual reflection as well as cheer and anticipation. Christian families find quiet moments lighting candles in the Advent wreath, and children use Advent calendars to count the days until Christmas.

God, I don’t have great faith, but I can be faithful. My belief in you may be seasonal, but my faithfulness will not. I will follow in the way of Christ. I will act as though my life and the lives of others matter. I will love. I have no greater gift to offer than my life. Take it.

AS I worked today, I didn't have much time for reflection, spiritual or otherwise. Am now home after almost 12 hours at work. Time for rest, relaxation and my reflection. Christmas music playing gently in the background. In my windows, candles lit for the world to see.
I have a question AM I WORTHY!

Worthy is the Mommanator. I'm sure God enjoyed his time with you, by candlelight and with the music.

Although I am not traditionally religious, I do believe it is important to take time to preiodically reflect and make efforts to shape your behavior to more closely match your beliefs. So good for you.
